Whether you’re an absolute beginner, an advanced student who wants to sit your Grade 8 exam or if you just feel like you’ve reached a plateau and need some inspiration to fatten out your chops. With a Classical Music Degree, 32 years playing and 21 years teaching experience, I cover all styles and abilities. I teach all ages, have enhanced DBS disclosure and public liability insurance.
The '20-'23 Trinity College Grade 2 Drum Kit Syllabus contains a contrasting selection of exciting and technically challenging pieces, with some fantastic backing tracks. Here is Giulia, at home, during lockdown, with her recital of Cherry Blue by Mike Osborn. This is a solid representation of the score, with some excellent time-keeping, solid playing of grooves and some flare! Well played Giulia.

Yeah baby, yeah! You should recognise this track from the Austin Powers movies, a classic Bossa Nova track by Quincy Jones, featured in the Trinity College 2014-2019 Grade 4 Syllabus, arranged by George Double. Performed by Charlotte, this piece uses some staple Bossa Nova grooves, juxtaposed with some big Brass Band sections, plenty of Dynamics and some first rate Cow Bell - who doesn't love a Cow Bell?
